About the Event
“The science behind feeling safe enough to fall in love with life”
~ Deb Dana, Rhythm of Regulation
Have you wondered why you feel anxious, angry, or frustrated? Or why you are facing shutdown, helplessness, or overwhelm? Learn how your nervous system creates these feelings by discovering the Polyvagal Theory. It outlines three states in our nervous system: (1) Relaxed for safety and connection; (2) Flight-or-flight reactions; and (3) Shutdown responses. All of which are healthy and natural! Learn how you can flow between these states and anchor in a ventral state of calm, connection, and safety. Yoga can support this theory by using breathwork, movement, mindfulness, and meditation to help regulate and anchor into your ventral state.
